Kurz-Andrews Scholarship Fund
In 1962 The Cheyenne Artists Guild founded the Kurz-Andrews Scholarship to honor Leo Kurz, and M.J. (Bud) Andrews who were two early Guild presidents. The Scholarship is available for Laramie County School District # 1 high school seniors interested in pursuing education and training in 2-Dimensional and 3-Dimensional art. Currently the Scholarship pays $750 each to two recepients. One of the scholarships goes to a 2-Dimensional young artist and the other goes to a 3-Dimensional young artist. Second place receives $100 worth of art supplies, and Third place receives $75 worth of art supplies.
Funds are sent to the recepients' college or institution of their choice for fine arts education. Students interested in applying for the scholarship can contact the guild for more information and application forms.
